Racial Justice

The TBZ Racial Justice Working Group (RJWG) is dedicated to advancing all forms of anti-racist work at TBZ.  Our action group works from the following premise:

• TBZ is continuously working to be a welcoming, culturally competent, and inclusive anti-racist synagogue community.
• As we acknowledge and understand the structural racism that permeates our society, we are committed to repairing the injustice and inequity that comes from long standing systemic racism.

Our commitment is to provide a variety of ways for a TBZ member to be engaged at different levels of interest and commitment.  We offer forums for discussion and learning, channels for activism, and opportunities to improve our skills in being competent allies in the wider community.  We hope that you will join us in bringing to life the Jewish belief that every person is made in the image of God.
