Illness & Healing

Bikkur cholim, visiting the sick, is another of the key activities of the Hesed Community. Our goal is to ensure that those members of TBZ who are sick are never isolated.  Our volunteers regularly visit the ill, and, if necessary, help with the purchase of medications, rides to doctor’s appointments, and even with difficult paperwork. We also organize visits to those hospitalized for any reason.

Healing prayers are offered in our Misheberach aliya every Shabbat and in our daily Boker Tov minyan.

TBZ clergy are available to provide support during difficult times. If you are in need of pastoral care or support please reach out to hesed@TBZBrookline.org.

We also have a comprehensive resource to refer to (Chapter 1).
