Benjamin Maron, Executive Director

Benjamin’s professional background started in social services, where he managed group homes for youth with exceptional needs. After going back to school for a degree in Jewish Studies, he has spent the last 20 years working in the Jewish world, most recently as executive director of a shul, but also in outreach, development, and education. Originally from Canada, Benjamin has lived in the Boston area for 12 years.

 

Sarah Ott, Office Manager

Sarah grew up in the Boston Area and went to college at Hobart and William Smith where she studied Psychology and Education. After about 2 years of working in Human Resources, Sarah came to TBZ as the office manager. She now lives in Brighton and loves to explore new neighborhoods and restaurants!

 

 

Rochelle Kelman, Assistant to Rav Claudia

Rochelle grew up in South Africa and Israel. After schooling in Israel she found her way to Wellesley College and Boston via Montreal, Canada. She lives in Needham with her husband, Moti. Mother of two, stepmother of three, and step grandmother of four. After many years working at Gateways she joined TBZ. When she is not at work you can find her outdoors birding, volunteering at the Arnold Arboretum, or at home with her cats dabbling with art in her studio.

 

April Ropes, Communications Assistant

April has worked with TBZ for over a decade bringing her keen eye and graphic design skills to our many modes of communication including electronic and print materials. She has a BA in English and Political Science from Elon University and a Graduate Certificate in Publishing from Emerson College. April grew up in Western Massachusetts, but has spent much of her adult life working in and around the Boston area in administrative/programming roles and as a freelance graphic designer. She lives in Hudson with her husband, her two teenagers, and her furry pal Jackson (a lab/shepherd rescue dog). In her spare time she teaches regular yoga and meditation classes, and enjoys dancing, hiking, long distance running and spending time with family and friends.
