Lea Goldberg: The year 2021 was a milestone for trailblazing Israeli women poets—it marks the 90th yahrzeit of the poet Rachel and the 110th anniversary of Lea Goldberg’s birth. In Hebrew, we use the same word for song and poem—shir. In this discussion group, we will read, discuss, and listen to Lea’s poems set to music in popular Israeli songs.
