Introducing our 2026 Spring Fundraiser Honoree
We are delighted to announce that Beth Harris will be honored at this year’s Spring Fundraiser. Since joining TBZ with her husband Mitch in 2005, Beth has been a steady and devoted presence in our community, helping to shape and sustain the life of our congregation in ways both visible and behind the scenes. TBZ has been home to many of her family’s milestones: her children, Rachel (bat mitzvah 2008) and Jacob (bar mitzvah 2010), celebrated here; Beth marked her own adult bat mitzvah in 2009; and most recently, the community rejoiced with her family at Rachel and Ari’s aufruf in 2024, ahead of their wedding. Rachel and Ari have since welcomed their new baby, Ashe, and we look forward to celebrating this growing family together at the Spring Fundraiser.
Beth’s leadership and contributions over the years have been both wide-ranging and deeply impactful. From 2015 through 2023, she served as the editor of Koleinu, guiding its transformation from an eight-page newsletter into a vibrant 28-page publication that reflected the growth, creativity, and depth of our community. She also played a central role in our Spring Fundraiser itself, helping to chair and shape these celebrations for several years, bringing people together with warmth, intention, and care. In 2021, Beth was instrumental in building out the content of our website, working collaboratively with members and leaders to gather, edit, and refine the voices of our community into a cohesive and welcoming whole. Since the fall of 2023, she has served as co-chair of Hesed, where she leads initiatives such as Welcome Baby and Shiva Support, ensuring that care, compassion, and connection remain at the heart of TBZ life.
Beth’s involvement is also deeply rooted in our spiritual life. She is a dedicated member of our Boker Tov community, where she participates regularly and serves as a weekly gabbai, helping to create a warm and meaningful space for prayer and connection. Beth’s humility, thoughtfulness, and unwavering commitment to our community make her an extraordinary honoree. We are so proud to recognize her and to celebrate the many ways she helps TBZ flourish.
