Ever wonder what Spiritual Companioning*—often called Spiritual Direction– is all about? Might you want to understand what it’s like within a Jewish, group, framework?
Jewish Group Spiritual Companioning is a practice where a small number of people come together on a regular basis to witness and assist one another in deepening an awareness of God (however God is imaged) in all of life. Guided by a trained facilitator, participants share their spiritual stirrings, experiences, questions, and struggles in a sacred, confidential space. Members listen deeply and respond first with supportive silence, and then reflection or gentle inquiry, rather than advice or judgment. Rooted in Jewish tradition and values, this process fosters spiritual growth, community and soul connection, and greater awareness of God’s (however God is understood) presence in everyday life. If you’re seeking a deeper connection to what you name as God, (Holy Mystery, Ground of Being, Rock, Soul Healer…) join us to observe a live ‘Fishbowl ‘— a shortened, real-time example of this meaningful practice.
Join Rabbi Carol Glass to learn about this practice that will soon be offered at TBZ and see if it might be right for you. Watch this short introduction from Rabbi Carol to learn more:

Please note: Please respect the power and intimacy of the ‘fishbowl’ conversation by getting quietly seated before it begins, or waiting until it is finished before entering the program space.
