Almost three dozen members of Congress recently introduced a historic bill called the Two State Solution Act, which needs our support. So, I’m gathering a small group of TBZ members and other friends to learn more about the situation on the ground and take action.
We will watch a detailed, thought-provoking 20-minute video in which leading Israeli human rights lawyer Michael Sfard explains how Israel’s legal system and infrastructure policy contribute to de facto annexation in the West Bank and create obstacles to a two-state solution. Afterwards, we’ll have a conversation about what we learned and hear more about the Two State Solution Act. Lastly, all the participants will be given all the information needed to call and leave a message to urge their member of Congress to support the bill.
With a new government in Israel, a new administration in the US, and the region still recovering from the horrific violence in May; there is a great deal for us to learn and a great deal to do to ensure that US policy helps move the new Israeli government in a more positive direction.
