Hesed Shabbat:
As we gather during Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, we celebrate the many ways that acts of hesed (lovingkindness) bring light into our community. Hesed Shabbat is dedicated to honoring the volunteers who have responded to the needs of our congregation with generosity, compassion, and care. We also recognize those who have allowed our community to support them, reminding us that receiving help is as much a part of sacred community as offering it. Like the Hanukkah candles whose light grows brighter night by night, each act of kindness strengthens our connections and illuminates our shared life. Together, we will celebrate the relationships of giving and receiving that make our congregation a place where no one stands alone.
