Israeli citizens are still reeling from the devastating human toll of the
October 7 attacks, and the ongoing bombing in Gaza has only added to
these tensions. As the threat of further violence looms, and many
recall the outbreak of inter-communal violence in May of 2021, the
crucial work of building shared society between Jewish and
Palestinian citizens has never been more important.
Over the last 34 years, The Abraham Initiatives has developed
evidence-based mechanisms and programs to build and protect
shared society. Even as staff members in Israel face the threat of
unimaginable violence, they continue to work tirelessly to ensure all
citizens of Israel—Jewish and Palestinian—are protected. We are
pleased to welcome Jimmy Taber, International Development
Director of The Abraham Initiatives, for a discussion about challenges
to shared society in the shadow of October’s violence. We hope you
will join us at this most difficult time.
