Join TBZ Member Rabbi Lenny Gordon, a member of the Mahzor Lev Shalem editorial team, for an introduction to our new mahzor! Mahzor Lev Shalem was created with a conscious awareness of the diverse backgrounds and expectations, and it promises to open doors for every member. For those familiar with the tefillah, its commentary offers a historical overview and insight into the meaning of prayers. For those who don’t know Hebrew, the English translations are close to the meaning of the original, and the transliterations are plentiful! For spiritual seekers who come looking for meaning and direction, the machzor offers a rich assortment of readings, including piyyutim, Hasidic stories, reflections, and quotes from traditional and contemporary Jewish thinkers and poets. Together with abundant readings that focus on spiritual issues and tikkun olam, Mahzor Lev Shalem speaks to our contemporary concerns and spiritual needs. Join Rabbi Lenny for a Kiddush talk on Shabbat morning, September 6th, after services, and online Monday, September 8th at 7pm to go more in depth on how this book can become a beloved companion on this Yamim Nora’im journey.
