March 20, 7pm: Israel/Palestine Peace & Justice Affinity Group (in-person)
This is an affinity group for people who want to foreground bringing an immediate end to the current violence in Gaza and are committed to ending the ongoing structural violence Palestinians have suffered for decades. This is not the Israel group that Rav Claudia is assembling, nor is it a space for facilitated dialogue across differences, both of which are forthcoming. This is a lay-led group for TBZ members who believe that neither Jews nor Palestinians will be free of the curse of political violence until all who live between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea share equality, justice, and freedom. This first meeting will be an opportunity to find one another within the TBZ community and consider what we could learn about and do in the future.
