Opening the Gates with Love: Chesed at the Heart of Our Prayers
Every time we pray, we evoke the chesed—the acts of love—that sustain the foundations of the world itself. In this special pre-Selichot session, we’ll explore how the opening lines of our Amidah connect our personal prayers to the compassionate acts of our ancestors and God. We will examine select Rabbinic texts that highlight the transformative power of chesed, offering us a meaningful lens through which to approach our Selichot and the Days of Awe.
