Kiddush Talk: Repro Shabbat (in person)

Join us on Shabbat, February 14, as TBZ joins the National Council of Jewish Women for their annual Shabbat celebration honoring the Jewish value of reproductive freedom. We will gather for a Kiddush talk and learning opportunity open to all.

We will begin with text study with Rav Claudia, exploring how Jewish tradition speaks to issues of reproductive justice—specifically abortion. Some of these teachings may be new and even surprising.

We will then engage in storytelling and reflection on real-life situations individuals and families may face, including pregnancy, abortion, IVF, surrogacy, adoption, or the intentional choice to remain child-free. Together, we will ask how we, as a Jewish community, can uphold values that explicitly include reproductive freedom and justice.
