In response to the Board’s email regarding signs in front of our building, many TBZ members have reached out to share their thoughts. We are a diverse community with diverse reactions – many expressed immense gratitude and support for the decision; others disagreed and felt frustrated or disappointed. As a result, some have asked for opportunities to come together in community, to share their feedback and discuss the decision.
The staff and the Board are creating multiple opportunities to be in conversation about Israel, antisemitism, and the BLM movement. However, we want to create a space specifically to address the feedback around the signs. For those interested, please join us on Wednesday, December 20, 7:00-8:30pm, for a guided conversation in the sanctuary. We’ll have opportunities to break into smaller discussion groups and come together as a whole. We’ll have space for diverse views on Israel and Palestine and will expect all participants to be respectful.
We recognize that some have also asked for online opportunities for conversation; at this time we have in-person opportunities only, but we continue to consider online programs.
This opportunity is open to TBZ members only. RSVP here.
