This will be a 5 week “lunch and learn” discussion group of the new book, Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under The Color of Law, by Richard and Leah Rothstein. This book is a follow-up to Richard Rothstein’s widely acclaimed The Color of Law, which examined officially and legally sanctioned housing segregation and discrimination across the United States. Just Action identifies actions for changing laws and policy, and suggests remedies for the lasting impacts of this official segregation. We expect to cover about 50 pages each week. The discussion will be co-led by Jonathan Klein and Rosalind Joffe of TBZ’s Housing Justice Action Team. This is a “TBZ members only” event, and all TBZ members are welcome.
