The Pride Liberation Seder, held during National Pride Week, uses the model of the Passover Haggadah and the Book of Exodus to tell the story of the liberation of the LGBTQ+ community. The Haggadah is adapted to provide queer history, explain the variety of queer symbols, and furnish a platform for participants to tell their personal stories of their LGBTQ+ experiences.
All are welcome to learn the history of LGBTQ Liberation.
We would love to have your stories included in our celebration! If you were at Stonewall, we would be eager to hear your account. Share stories of your coming out, of your awareness of being queer – a few sentences or a couple of paragraphs. If you cannot attend, your stories can still be included in the printed version of our Pride Liberation Seder Haggadah. For more information contact Marvin Kabakoff.
