Two Parts: Sunday, January 22 and 29th, 2-4pm.
By using the film Colliding Dreams (and other resources) by acclaimed filmmakers Joseph Dorman and Oren Rudavsky, this two-part course will explore Zionism’s history. We will listen to scholars and regular citizens debate about Israel, Zionism, and their connection to the land. Triggered by recent conflicts, the discussion is often guided by emotion rather than substance. This film is not an attempt to provide answers but rather to explore the questions and provoke thoughtful and meaningful discussion on this fraught topic. The film and other sources we will bring to the conversation will include a wide range of Israeli and Palestinian views.
