Marking the culmination of the High Holy Day season, this powerful rain prayer weaves together song and movement, forming a collective cry: hoshana (“please help us”). Together, on the Gann Farm, we will harvest and beat aravot (willow branches), engaging an ancient ritual that invites us to bring both our vulnerability and our hope into communal prayer.
Centered on humanity’s dependence on water, these practices of Hoshana Rabbah will invite us into a deeper sense of connection and responsibility to one another and the living world in a time of ecological uncertainty and climate disruption.
