Jewish Life Spiral Events
One of the core values of community is its ability to be supportive of its members throughout the “joys and oys” of being alive. Like all Jewish holiday celebrations, Jewish life spiral events are enhanced by community sharing and involvement. Whether naming a newborn baby or saying shiva for someone newly departed, members of the TBZ family need not experience these moments alone. We believe in the power of community involvement to deepen, to enhance, to find resilience. The opportunity to share joy deepens joy; and the mitzvah of sharing sorrow helps in the process of rebuilding and returning to life.
At TBZ, life spiral events are recognized as unique, individual events existing in a larger Jewish context. You will find, therefore, that we don’t do cookie-cutter B’nei Mitzvahs, baby namings, or shiva minyans. These moments of deep personal meaning receive the personalized attention they deserve, both from the rabbi and the community. As a consequence, all are strengthened and enriched.
