Mishpachot: Family Programming
Mishpachot: Family Programming
The Mishpachot Program is a vibrant, multifaceted program that strives to bring Judaism to life through family programming that aligns with the values of the rich and diverse TBZ community. We offer a variety of programs throughout the year for all ages, including:
Tfillot Mishpachot – Family services for three age groups: ages 0-4 and their parents, grades K-3 and their parents, and grades 4-7. These age specific services are designed to teach and familiarize the Shabbat morning liturgy and weekly parshiot to children and to instill in them a sense of community and belonging at TBZ. Services include storytelling, parsha play, singing and dancing, and cultivating a sense of spiritual energy and delight! Tfillot Mishpachot are held approximately twice a month, as well as community family services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Holiday Programming for all ages, including Sukkot on a Farm, dancing, singing and stories on Simchat Torah, a family Tu Bishvat Seder, Hammentaschen baking, carnivals and puppets on Purim, and much more. Check our calendar for our holiday programming schedule.
Family Friendly Kabbalat Shabbat services and dinners at 1550 Beacon, Hebrew SeniorLife (next door to TBZ)
Intergenerational Shabbat services (1-2 times a year)
Mitzvah programs such as the Ride for Food with JF&CS and the Walk for Hunger
The TBZ Community Retreat (once a year)
Childcare – on Shabbatot without family services, we offer childcare in order for families to come to TBZ on a regular basis and be in community.
