 -6pm\, \nOutside TBZ (front steps)\nOn the saddest day of the Jewish cale
 ndar\, when we fast in remembrance of destruction and exile\, we come toge
 ther to mourn the brokenness of our society and our world. In response to 
 rising antisemitism and systemic racism--we lament. In the wake of Supreme
  Court decisions eviscerating gun control\, limiting environmental protect
 ions\, and denying the right to reproductive freedom\, we lament. In a tim
 e of hearts hardened to the migrant and stranger\, those seeking to breath
 e free–we lament. In a world shattered by war and brutality\, the threat
  of nuclear weapons and climate catastrophe – we lament. We come togethe
 r to grieve\, to resist\, and to gather strength for the work of rebuildin
 g all that is broken. On the day when\, according to Jewish tradition\, th
 e Messiah will be born\, we also come together to imagine another world\, 
 and to learn from those whose work for racial and economic justice is at t
 he forefront of that reimagining.
