SUMMARY:The Future is Peace: A Conversation with Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sar
ah (in person at Temple Israel)
DESCRIPTION:Co-sponsored by TBZ\n\n\n\nWhat does it mean to choose peace in
the aftermath of profound loss?\n\nJoin the Center for Adult Jewish Learn
ing for an extraordinary evening with Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah\, two p
eacebuilders whose lives have been shaped by the Israeli–Palestinian con
flict—and whose partnership offers a powerful model of moral courage\, e
mpathy\, and hope. Both men have suffered devastating personal losses\, ye
t rather than turning away from one another\, they have chosen to work tog
ether toward a future rooted in dignity\, coexistence\, and human connecti
on.\n\nIn a moderated conversation with Rabbi Suzie Jacobson\, Maoz and Az
iz will reflect on their personal journeys\, the urgent challenges of our
current moment\, and what it means to transform grief into action. Through
honest dialogue and thoughtful exchange\, this evening invites us to list
en deeply\, sit with complexity\, and imagine what peace might look like w
hen it is grounded in relationship and shared humanity.\n\nThis program of
fers space not for slogans or debate\, but for reflection\, learning\, and
the possibility of understanding across differences.\n\nRegister to join
 us onsite on Monday\, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. Contact cajl@tisrael.org with
questions.\n\nThis program is co-sponsored by Congregation Dorshei Tzedek
and Temple Beth Zion.\nSpeaker Bios\nMaoz Inon is an Israeli peace activi

reconciliation and coexistence. After losing both of his parents in the O
ctober 7 attacks\, Maoz made a public commitment to channel his grief into
action\, calling for an end to cycles of violence and for renewed efforts
toward peace. He is a co-CEO of InterAct\, where he works to advance dial
ogue\, empathy\, and courageous leadership rooted in lived experience.\n\n
Aziz Abu Sarah is a Palestinian peacebuilder\, educator\, and social entre
preneur whose work focuses on conflict resolution\, intercultural dialogue
\, and social change. After losing his brother during the First Intifada\,
Aziz committed himself to peacebuilding as a lifelong pursuit. He is a co
-CEO of InterAct and a co-founder of MEJDI Tours\, a socially conscious tr
avel company that pioneered dual-narrative tourism. His work has been reco
