 \n\n\nWe are excited to honor Judith Kates at the 2024 Spring Concert. Alo
 ng with her husband\, Bill\, Judith has been a TBZ member since 2019. They
  joined TBZ to be part of the same community as their family – Tom\, Kat
 hy\, and Eva\; the three generations of the Kates family quickly became ac
 tive participants in our community. She is the savta (grandmother) of Eva\
 , but known to many TBZ children and families as "savta" as well.\n\nJudit
 h is a brilliant scholar of Torah and literature\, masterful teacher who m
 anages the classroom and supports each student with an understated authori
 ty\, feminist\, pathbreaking anthologist\, trailblazing thinker\, life-lon
 g learner\, deep listener\, cherished accompanier\, mentor\, and friend to
  so many with her wisdom and quiet\, gentle strength. A devoted participan
 t and leader in Boker Tov and Eat\, Pray\, and Learn\, our community is en
 riched by her leyning\, teaching\, and participation on Shabbat mornings.\
 n\nWhat a blessing to be in community with Judith and Bill. And what a joy
  to be able to celebrate Judith this spring. Join us in honoring her!\n\n\
 n\nJoin artist-in-residence Yoni Avi Battat and an ensemble of local music
 ians for a contemplative and energetic performance of original and traditi
 onal Middle-Eastern music. Celebrating the success of TBZ's newest Mizrahi
  Kabalat Shabbat initiative\, this program will weave songs from Shabbat Z
 imrah together with music from Yoni's album&nbsp\;Fragments\, as well as g
 ems from the repertoire of Arab folk music and traditional Mizrahi&nbsp\;p
 iyyutim.
