 ted on the first Shabbat in February. To celebrate properly\, you have to 
 eat ice cream for breakfast on Shabbat morning. Come have ice cream at TBZ
 !\n\nThe holiday was invented in the 1960s by Florence Rappaport in Roches
 ter\, NY\, inspired by her two youngest children. She explained\, “It wa
 s cold and snowy and the kids were complaining that it was too cold to do 
 anything. So I just said\, ‘Let’s have ice cream for breakfast.’” 
 The next year\, they reminded her of the day and a tradition began. When h
 er kids grew older\, they shared the holiday with all their friends and th
 e tradition spread internationally. It has been celebrated in Israel\, Chi
 na\, Nepal\, Namibia\, Germany\, New Zealand\, Canada\, and Honduras.
