SUMMARY:Hebrew Torah Study w/ Rabbi Sam
DESCRIPTION:This series will begin with the Noach stories and will focus on
  the root communities (generally referred to as J and E at this point of o
 ur inquiry) that came to be the Torah people.\n\nMost of the sessions from
  Creation to the beginning of Noach are available through TBZ.  The sessi
 ons will use Hebrew text with English translation provided to all members 
 of the class.  Knowledge of the aleph-bet and a basic ability to read Heb
 rew is suggested but not required.  Each session will begin with breakout
  rooms to enhance and practice Hebrew reading fluency.  The balance of ea
 ch session will explore vocabulary\, grammar\, and evidence for variant wo
 rld views and social structure in the text.  The series will not follow t
 he weekly parasha cycle but will move at the pace most appropriate for par
 ticipants.  Primary focus will be on material that has alternate variants
  in the Torah texts.
