DESCRIPTION:\n\nMenschwork\, a spiritual brotherhood of Jewish men\, announ
 ces the launch of its second  \n\nMensch Day program to be held on June 
 8\, 2025\, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Temple Beth Zion (TBZ) located at 
 1566 Beacon Street in Brookline\, MA. \n\nThe Greater Boston Mensch Day i
 s being locally sponsored by the TBZ men’s group. All Jewish men from th
 roughout Greater Boston are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring 
 friends and family to join them.  \n\nMensch Day is an inspirational pro
 gram designed to encourage Jewish men to experience and explore what it me
 ans to be a mensch and do the “right” thing in today’s world. 
  \n\nBased on the Yiddish concept of menschlichkeit (which means “h
 umanity”)\, a mensch treats people with empathy and compassion\, exempli
 fying the mitzvah of loving your neighbor and treating others as you’d l
 ike to be treated.    \n\nThe Mensch Day program is modeled after th
 e Jewish Men’s Retreat (JMR)\, a gathering of Jewish men that’s taken 
 place annually in the Northeast for 32 years.  As they do at the JMR\, m
 en who attend Mensch Day will meet in small groups where they can hone the
 ir listening skills and share personal stories about their aspirations of 
 becoming a mensch. \n\nThere will be opportunities for drumming\, communi
 ty singing\, and a drash on the meaning of menschlichkeit by Reb Moshe Wal
 doks\, Rabbi Emeritus of TBZ.  \n\nIn addition\, the program will featur
 e experiential breakout sessions ranging from meditation to Mussar. Themes
  of tikkun olam (repairing the world) and gemilut chasidim (acts of lovi
 ngkindness) will be explored\, including a panel presentation featuring fo
 ur men whose personal life experiences exemplify\, “Mensches in Action.
 ”  \n\nThe cost to attend Greater Boston Mensch Day is a sliding scale
