 ether with dance! Join musician Zach Mayer for an Electronic Jerusalem Ecs
 tatic Dance Party! Electronic Jerusalem is Zach's NEW project\, incorporat
 ing the sounds and rhythms he collected while studying Middle Eastern clas
 sical music in Jerusalem\, into modern electronic dance music. It's pulsin
 g– it's Ecstatic Dance/Trance. Imagine a shuk– of music! Performed liv
 e with synthesizer and saxophone. Suggested donation: $10.\nAbout Zach May
 er\nZach Mayer has performed with John Zorn\, Frank London\, Michael Alper
 t\, Joey Weisenberg\, and Bobby McFerrin. He plays baritone saxophone inte
 rnationally with Zion80\, a 10-piece Jewish Afrobeat band\, and his folk s
 extet\, Night Tree has toured in Europe and has released two albums produc
 ed by Seamus Egan of SOLAS. He has been on the faculty at the Brandeis Ins
 titute of Music and Art and Laguardia Arts High School in Manhattan and te
 aches during the summer at the KlezKanada Jewish music festival in Lantier
 \, QC. He is the musical director of Kahal B'raira\, Boston's humanistic J
 ewish congregation\, and leads interactive concerts of the music from his 
 two albums Modeh Ani and Zamru\, singing with communities around the count
 ry. He recently returned from a year of studies at the Center for Middle E
 astern Classical Music\, and his newest project "Electronic Jerusalem" is 
 set to release this fall. Mayer received a master's degree from the New En
 gland Conservatory in Contemporary Improvisation and is a member of Hadar
 ’s 2020-2022 Rising Song Fellowship. He also has over 40 million views o
 n YouTube for his "Subway Sax Battle." He resides in Boston\, Massachusett
 s with his wife Eliana.
