Torah Roots of Pesach (Passover) with Rabbi Sam Seicol (online)

March 7, 2027
11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Hebrew reading practice from 11:00-11:15am.

No Hebrew knowledge required for the 11:15am-12:00pm session.

Discover the Torah behind the Haggadah! Journey back to the biblical roots of the Passover seder while strengthening your Hebrew reading skills through close study of the Torah text itself. Together we’ll explore the passages that gave rise to the Haggadah and many of the rituals that shape our seder today. Along the way, we’ll investigate the Torah’s diverse presentations of Passover, wrestle with texts that seem to contradict one another, and uncover how the Rabbis wove these verses into the Haggadah we know today. As Passover approaches, our learning will turn toward practice, exploring how these insights can enrich your own seder table and bring new depth and meaning to the holiday. The course will run from the end of the fall holidays to the beginning of Spring.
